Dog Training at NMF Kennels
To enhance our methodical dog breeding program we aim at selling trained dogs — a complete package we provide you! NMF Kennels is fitted with a dedicated Dog Training Facility capable of supporting the training of dogs across three core disciplines: Obedience, Attack (including Poison Escape/Avoidance), and Agility.
These broad training programs are broken down into their many constituent and complementary modules. To guarantee consistent quality, NMF retains a qualified Dog Handler and a team of qualified K9 Instructors on-site at Kyankwanzi.
At different age milestones — 3 months, 7 months, and 1 year+ — we design appropriate training programs to match the growth and life stage of your dog. Additionally, our on-boarding residential facilities ensure your dog receives excellent boarding care while undergoing training.

Core Disciplines
Three Pillars of NMF Dog Training
Obedience Training
Complete compliance under all conditions — sit, stay, down, heel, off-leash obedience, and extended recall up to 200m.
Attack & Protection (Inc. Poison Escape)
Controlled aggression on command, handler defence, bite sleeve/suit work, and critical poison escape/avoidance training.
Agility & Conditioning
Obstacle scaling, hurdle clearing, endurance building, and physical conditioning tailored to working-line dogs.
Progression Roadmap

7 Months Old
Intermediate Working Modules
Off-leash compliance, agility obstacle courses, distraction proofing, extended recall, and poison escape/avoidance protocols.
1 Year +
Advanced Protection & Security

Specialised Module
Attack Dog Training
“The dog attacks because he has been commanded to — not out of fear or anger.”
The dog does not attack out of fear or anger; the dog attacks because he has been commanded to. Attack dog training, if carried out properly, is very useful in personal protection.
However, the dog should still use his own initiative if situations arise where the handler has been injured and cannot give a command. Our instructors train dogs to maintain control, release immediately on command, and execute poison escape/avoidance protocols.

Training FAQ
Can I bring my own dog from another breeder?
Yes. We accept dogs from other breeders for the Obedience and Protection programmes. A temperament assessment session is required first — contact us to arrange.
Where does training take place?
All programmes run at our dedicated Dog Training Facility at the Kyankwanzi farm. Residential boarding facilities are available on-site for board-and-train dogs.
Is board-and-train available?
Yes — for dogs enrolled in the 12-week and 16-week programmes. Board-and-train includes residential kennel accommodation, feeding, health monitoring, and daily training sessions.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes — 3+ dogs from the same organisation qualify for a 15% group discount. Security firms placing 5+ dogs also receive a dedicated account manager.
